Number of suspects arrested in operations in Punjab: COAS told

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Monday chaired a high level security meeting at General Headquarters to review progress of operation in Punjab to nab terrorists in the aftermath of Lahore blast.

According to the Tweet by Director General Inter Services Public Relations Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa, Intelligence Agencies with Army and Rangers carried out five operations in Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan since last night.

Number of suspect terrorists and facilitators have been rounded up and huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered during these operations. Operations are continuing with more leads coming in, he added.
