NAB intensifies the probe in Faryal Tapur case

KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau(NAB) has demanded prize bonds and bank accounts inquiry of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Faryal Talpur and husband Mir Munawer Talpur on Monday, Aaj News reported.

Mir Munawer Talpur is also brother-in-law of former President Asif Ali Zardari. they are charged on alleged embezzlement in public funds and misuse of authority.

NAB has asked for the details of winning money through prize bonds, according to the report.

The bureau was given green signal in prosecuting the case in February. PPP protested in the parliament against the case proceedings and asked the government to control NAB in harassing ‘innocent people’

On 26 February, Munawer Talpur was summoned in court for interrogation. He assured the court that he will be helpful in the probe.
