NAB initiates inquiry against corrupt Sindh Police officers

WEB DESK: Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated the investigation against corrupt police officers in Sindh Police including Former Inspector General Police Sindh Ghulam Haidar Jamali, Aaj News reported on Thursday.

According to details, a high level meeting presided by chairman NAB has approved the initiation of inquiry against corrupt officers in Sindh police including  IG Sindh and 71 other officers.

Everyday 14 officers will present before NAB to get their statements penned down from March 21 onward.

Sources claimed that Ghulam Haider Jamali and four DIGs have been alleged of corruption and embezzelment of funds.

The four accused DIGs included Feroze Shah, Aleem Jafferi, Arif Hanif and Amin ur Rehman.

The authority is already conducting investigation against SSP Naveed Khwaja along with 14 other SSPs and SPs.

SSP Naveed Khuwaja is alleged of  misuse of funds allocated for investigation while SSP Peer Mohammad Shah is accused of  corruption in the purchase of transport and machinery.
