ISLAMABAD: Sarfaraz Merchant has been requested to appear in court by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) under the probe for allegations of ‘funding of the RAW to the MQM’, Aaj News reported.

He is summoned to court under section 160 on March 15 to record his statement.

The inquiry team of the FIA will investigate allegations of money laundering, illegal purchase of weapons and funding of the RAW to the MQM.

Earlier this week, in a dramatic turn of events, during a press conference former mayor Mustafa Kamal accuses the top leadership of Karachi’s largest party, MQM, to receive funds from RAW.

Kamal stated, “Everyone knows Altaf Hussain has links with RAW.”
