Misguided elements should return to Balochistan: Lt-Gen Riaz


QUETTA: Commander Southern Command, Lt-General Aamir Riaz has said that misguided elements should return back to Balochistan to join mainstream for progress and prosperity of local people, adding that on the dictation of anti-Pakistan forces, such elements should avoid to fight with their own people.

He was addressing a ceremony held in connection with appreciation of artistic work of Artists on fifth day of Balochistan Sports Festival, here on Saturday.

He said: “Artists reflect values of society through their artistic work,” adding that a society is considered as dead which is deprived of artists. He said that Balochistan is rich in culture and art and its artists have earned good name.

He said that due to joint efforts put by the government, security forces, political and tribal leadership, peace has been restored in Balochistan and the province has been put on track of development. He said that the elements triggering chaos and unrest in Balochistan should avoid working on the dictation of anti-state elements.

“Misguided elements should return back to Balochistan to join mainstream politics in order to participate in the development process of the province,” he said.

Provincial Minister for Sports, Mir Mujib-ur-Rehman Muhammad Hasni, Inspector General, Frontier Corps Balochistan, Maj-General. Sher Afgun and senior officials were present.
