KMC Officer Rehan Khan to get award of Azad Kashmir

KARACHI: Senior officer Rehan Khan is chosen to receive the biggest civil award of the Azad Kashmir to honor him for presenting various beautiful locations of Azad Kashmir through his pictorial exhibition in Karachi on February 5 – and for portraying these locations again in his book titled ‘Landscape of Kashmir.

President of Azad Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaqub Khan announced this while speaking as chief guest in the launching of Rehan Khan’s book in KMC Officers’ Club, said a statement on Friday.

The program which was also attended by Information Minister of Azad Kashmir Abid Hussain Abid and prominent Kashmiri leader Sardar Nazakat Khan held under the auspices of City Owners Welfare Association. Hussain Abid, Kashmiri leader Sardar Nazakat Khan, Muhammad Rehan Khan, Mazhar Khan and Bashir Saddozai also spoke on this occasion. Sardar Yaqub Khan said around five million tourists visit the Azad Kashmir every year, and after this book substantial increase in tourists is expected in the region.

The President of Azad Kashmir said those who work for the progress and betterment of Kashmir and its people in fact please the soul of Kashmiri martyrs. Rehan Khan gave pleasure to whole Kashmiri nation with his book, he said.
