Islamabad’s beauty to be restored: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said beauty of Islamabad would be restored along provision of best possible facilities to its residents.

He was talking to first Mayor of Federal Capital Sheikh Ansar Aziz in Islamabad.

He congratulated Ansar Aziz on becoming the first mayor of the capital. The prime minister expressed the confidence that under his leadership the elected representatives of Islamabad would work hard for improving the state of affairs in both urban and rural parts of the capital.

He said the federal government would extend all out support to the local government to undertake developmental projects in the capital for ensuring provision of civic facilities to the residents.

Nawaz Sharif said being the capital, Islamabad needed special attention and care for its uplift.

Sheikh Ansar Aziz said he along with other elected representatives of Islamabad would implement the Prime Minister’s vision of transforming the capital into a truly developed and modern city.
