WEB DESK: Indian politician protests against pre-scheduled T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan at Dharamshala on 19 March to be taken to another venue, Aaj News reported.
International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the schedule for Twenty20 World Cup 2016 in which India is the home ground where all matches will be played. Pakistan and India shares a nail-biting match entertainment for its fans due to the cricket rivalry both share, making the match bankable for TV viewership around the world.
According to Indian media, PCC president and Congress leader Sukhwinder Sukhu said the BCCI has been given a final ultimatum either to call off the match or shift its venue elsewhere.
“We are not opposed to the game but this match between India and Pakistan can’t be allowed,” he added.
