I am irreplaceable now : Priyanka Chopra

WEB DESK: Marking her strongest entrance in Hollywood, actress Priyanka Chopra sees no bounds to make it to the top.

From starting her career in Bollywood, to making an international song with a well known artist, Pitbull, to owning her own TV series, Quantico, to starring against one of the biggest names in Hollywood in her upcoming venture, Baywatch, she will be seen opposite some huge names in the industry.

The gorgeous actress revealed that her success story was not as easy as it seems to be. She faced many hurdles and tackled many problems along her way.

Reminiscing her early days in the Bollywood, she said as quoted by Hindustan Times, “When I was relatively new in the industry, I was in talks with a producer, who wanted to cast me in his film. But, due to some date issues, it didn’t work out. He told me, that he will either cast someone else or will launch a new actor, because actresses are replaceable.”

The Bajirao Mastani actress added: “That got stuck in my head. Now, I jokingly tell him that I am irreplaceable,” said Priyanka, adding that she has since made “a deliberate effort to become irreplaceable”.

“And I think I have achieved that,” she added.

Her career is so large now that she said she doesn’t have to be insecure by anything or anyone. “I never get affected by the success or failure of anyone else. I believe that an actor is chosen on his or her merit. I have always tried to compete with myself and have looked for bigger opportunities. Maybe, if my career wasn’t great, I would have been insecure,” she said.

She added, “Women get reduced to cat fights. Look at today’s girls; they are so confident. When two actors are close to each other, people call it a bromance. But that’s never the case with actresses, as we are only associated with cat fights. I have shared good relationships with all my female co-stars. I believe they are all very secure and confident about their position in the industry.”
