Green Shirts are ready for ICC T20 World Cup: Afridi


WEB DESK: Pakistan cricket team skipper Shahid Khan Afridi on Sunday said our team was ready to handle the heavy pressure in India.

While addressing the media in Kolkata, Afridi said our team’s practice was going very well and player were mentally and physically prepared for the ICC Twenty20 world Cup.

“I have not enjoyed playing anywhere as much as in India. I can say that the love I have got in India is something that I will always remember. I have not got this much love even in Pakistan,” Afridi said.

To a query about India vs Pakistan match, Pakistani skipper said although India’s recent performance was extra ordinary and they played very well in Asia Cup but our team was capable to come back from difficult situation.

Afridi said the team was mentally ready to play in India and its practice was going on well.

Speaking on the occasion, Shoaib Malik said they will give best performance in World T-20 Cricket Cup.

Pakistan will face Srilanka tomorrow in their only warm-up match in Kolkata while they play their first match of the event on 16 March against Qualifier Group B.
