Govt focuses on revitalizing every sector of economy: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said Friday the government was focused on revitalising every sector of the economy.

“The government will remove the energy deficiency by the end of its term in office,” he said while talking to Governor Punjab Rafique Rajwana in Islamabad.

The PM said the government’s initiatives were aimed at reshaping Pakistan by pro-actively pursuing mega infrastructure projects, including CPEC and TAPI.

He said Pakistan’s perception abroad had greatly improved because of the economic stability and improved law and order situation.

Separately, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif urged upon the parliamentarians to leave no stone unturned in serving the masses.

“The ultimate purpose is to revolutionize the lives of our people and make Pakistan a thriving democracy where equal opportunities are available,” the prime minister said in his separate meetings with members of National Assembly Muhammad Raza Hayat Haraj, Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed and Abdul Rahman Khan Kanju here at the PM House.

The parliamentarians thanked the PM for taking significant interest in the infrastructure development and addressing the concerns of farmers in their respective constituencies.

They lauded the vision of the prime minister for transforming the country into a developed, progressive and modern state which had started yielding fruitful benefits.

They mentioned improvement in the overall security situation and the nation was united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif to eliminate terrorism and extremism from the motherland.

The parliamentarians apprised the PM on numerous development and welfare initiatives being proposed in their respective constituencies.

Nawaz assured the Members of National Assembly of his fullest support in execution of all projects and schemes aimed at raising the standard of living of the people.

The parliamentarians expressed confidence that under the leadership of the PM, the consolidation of the gains in infrastructure development, economic stability, self-sufficiency in energy and social sector reforms would be achieved in near future.

They mentioned that the revival of confidence of the international political leadership as well as financial and business community in the successful socio-economic policies of the present government was a manifestation of the empowerment of masses.
