LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday said fundamental reforms were being introduced in the health and education sectors to provide better services to the masses.
He was chairing a high level meeting in Lahore, during which various proposals for provision of better facilities to people and increasing the capacity of government sectors.
During the meeting, the research work of national and international economical experts for the betterment of social sectors, to increase the resources and betterment of tax system in the province was discussed.
Sharif said that government was striving to provide maximum facilities of health and education to the people. He said the government is providing scholarships to deserving and intelligent students through Punjab Educational Endowment Fund for higher education.
He said the government had taken different steps for the improvement of e-governance in the province. He said the performance of government sectors can also be improved through better utilizing the Information technology.
Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said the recommendations from economical experts will help in the preparation of policy guidelines.
