WEB DESK: Former Karachi mayor and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Mustafa Kamal has returned to Karachi after a prolonged absence from the political scene, Aaj News reported.
According to reports, he announced that he will address a press conference at Karachi Press Club on Thursday at 3pm, alongside senior leader and former Rabita Committee deputy convener Anees Qaimkhani.
After the announcement of a press conference by former mayor, the emergency meeting of Raabta Committee is under way and the current situation is being analysed.
It is speculated that Kamal will talk about his personal and business issues in the conference and will refrain from talking about politics. He is also expected to throw light on his future plans.
Mustafa Kamaal served as mayor for Karachi from 2005 to 2009. After that he resigned from Senate and went abroad. He has returned to Pakistan after a prolonged absence.
