Extremist group threatens to ‘dig up pitch’ if venue remains India

WEB DESK: Indian extremist protesters threaten to ‘dig up pitch’ if Pakistan plays at Dharamsala, Indian media alleges.

While demanding a change of venue for T20 match between cricket rivals, India and Pakistan, the Anti-Terrorist Front on Friday threatened that it would dig the pitch if Pakistani team will be allowed to play the match which is scheduled on March 19 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium, Dharamshala.

PM Nawaz Sharif also on Friday directed Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to ensure foolproof security of Pakistan cricket team in India, in co-ordination with Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.

The Prime Minister directed the ministry to send a security team in advance to India to report on security measures there for taking the final decision in this regard.
