England beat Afghanistan by 15 runs

WEBDESK: England beat Afghanistan by 15 runs in the match of Super 10 of ICC Twenty20 World Cup at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Dehli on Wednesday.

Earlier, England won the toss and opted bat first against Afghanistan, while batting first, England scored 142 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted twenty overs. Moeen Ali played an outstanding not out inning in the lower order and scored 41 runs of 33 balls.

Allrounder Mohammad Nabi and Abdul Rashid both took 2 wickets and gave only 17 runs each in 4 overs.

In reply, Afghanistan struggled alot and lost their five early wickets at the scored of 39, although after the poor start Shafiqullah played same good inning for Afghanistan and scored 35 runs of 20 balls.

David Willey bowled very economical overs and gave only 23 runs and took 2 wickets for England.
