Demo in Rajouri after Hindu fanatics attack civilians

ISLAMABAD: People staged forceful demonstrations in Rajouri town, Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) against the attack on a civilian and his son by Hindu fanatics.

The victims, Abdul Ghani and his son, Shafiq Ahmed, residents of Chandimarh Surankote, were critically injured when the Hindu extremists attacked them near Muradpur village on Rajouri-Poonch Highway, Kashmir Media Service reported. T

hey were admitted in District Hospital Rajouri. A large number of people including family members and relatives of the injured assembled outside the District Hospital and lodged strong protest, seeking arrest of the assailants.

The protestors said that such attacks had become a routine in the area, while police and administration were watching as mute spectators.

They said that attack was communally motivated and aimed to disturb the atmosphere in the occupied territory.
