Confirmed: Preity Zinta finally ties the knot

WEB DESK: Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has finally married her US based boyfriend and fiance Gene Goodenough.

The beauty tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles with close friends, including Sussanne Khan and designer Surily Goel, in attendance.

Veteran actor Kabir Bedi confirmed the news of Preity Zinta’s marriage by congratulating the ‘Chori Chori Chupke Chupke’ actress for her marriage on Twitter.

He wrote, “HUGE CONGRATS my friend @realpreityzinta on your marriage to Gene in Los Angeles, City of Angels. Blessings!”

Sussanne and Surily also shared pictures on Instagram, but maintained the secrecy of the private event.

As soon as the news broke, Preity’s friends from Bollywood took to Twitter to congratulate her on her big day.

While one ceremony in LA is over and was a low key affair, the one in Mumbai will see all the big wigs of B-Town in attendance. DNA reported that the actor has planned a three-day event in Mumbai which includes the wedding, sangeet and mehndi.

“The LA wedding will most probably be followed by a Rajput wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Since Preity has worked with the biggest stars in Bollywood, and continues to remain close friends with many of them, she plans to host a big celebration in the city, where B-Town celebrities will be invited,” DNA quoted a source close to Preity as saying.

Further, her outfits for all three days will either be designed by Manish Malhotra or Preity’s close friend Surily Goel, a source close to Preity told DNA.

Earlier, it was reported that Preity would be donating proceeds generated from their wedding pictures to charity. It is believed that they will put out their private wedding images up for auction and the proceeds generated out of these will go towards the charity Preity supports, reported Indian Express.

Preity met Gene in LA a few years ago during one of her visits to the US. Gene is a top financial consultant, a management graduate from Marshall School of Business and is currently a Senior Vice President of Finance with an US-based hydroelectric power company called NLine Energy.
