WEB DESK: Fasten your seat belts folks, as there is a new monster on the road and its name is the Bugatti Chiron.
Unveiled, among other high performance automobiles at the Geneva Motor Show, the Bugatti latest Chiron is billed by its makers as the faster, more powerful and even more expensive supercar than its predecessor the record breaking Bugatti Veyron.
According to CNN, the automobile will have a 1,500 Horse Power(HP)to work with, added 300 HP more than the Veyron. However, Chiron’s top speed remains untested, but it will be capped at 420 km/h (260 mph) for road use, the supercar has a base price of €2.4 million ($2.6 million).
“It is part of human nature to cross boundaries and set new records,” Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. President Wolfgang Dürheimer said. “This striving is also our driving force at Bugatti. The Chiron is the result of our efforts to make the best even better.”
According to Bloomberg, the engineers at Bugatti said that the latest model comes with a unique linear power curve that will reach 60 mph in less than 2.5 seconds and 186 mph in just over 13 seconds. The top speed on the dashboard is limited at 500 km/h, though they hinted the car will go faster than that.
With all the humdrum going on, we can safely bet that the new record setter has hit the roads.
