British foreign secy discusses regional security with PM, COAS

ISLAMABAD/ RAWALPINDI: UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif separately on Tuesday.

Matters of mutual interest including security situation in the region were discussed in the meetings with the PM and COAS in Islamabad and Rawalpindi respectively.

Philip Hammond acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s sincere efforts and sacrifices in war against terrorism and stability in the region.

They also discussed ways and means to further bolster relations in different areas including energy, trade and economy.
