Bilawal, Qaim visit Jinnah Hospital, announce compensation

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari along Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Tuesday visited Jinnah Hospital to inquire after the injured of Gulshan-e-Iqbal suicide attack.

PPP Punjab president Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, PPP Punjab general secretary Tanvir Ashraf Kaira and other senior leaders accompanied the chairman.

Bilawal met each injured persons and presented them gifts. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured.

Qaim Ali Shah also announced Rs500,000 for each victim of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Lahore suicide attack and Rs300,000 for each injured on behalf of the Sindh government.

Talking to media after visiting the Jinnah Hospital here Tuesday, he termed the incident, one of the most tragic incident and said he and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had come just to express their sympathy with the affected people.

He said the compensation amount was being given to the affectees on the direction of the PPP chairman.

To a question about the operation in Punjab, he said that it was the matter of Punjab province and the government would decide what should be done.
