Anti-India protests in Held Srinagar, Pulwama


ISLAMABAD: People staged forceful anti-India protests in Pulwama and Srinagar areas, Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) on Friday.

Several people were injured after Indian police and troops fired tear gas shells and pellets to disperse the protesters in Newa area of Pulwama, KMS reported.

“The forces lobbed tear gas shells and pepper gas shells to disperse the demonstrators in which several people were injured,” witnesses told mediamen.

The residents said that the paramilitary personnel without any reason thrashed several people and ransacked shops and damaged vehicles. They raised anti-India slogans and said that Indian personnel were hell bent to vitiate the peace and forcing locals to stage protests.
