WEB DESKS: A day after Singer Shafqat Amanat Ali faces backlash for underperforming the national anthem at World T20 India Pakistan match, Amitabh Bachchan is now in line for a set back at stretching the Indian national anthem from 52 seconds to 1 minute 10 seconds, Indian media reported.
According to the complain registered against the legendary actor, it stated that ‘Amitabh Bachchan sang the national anthem in 1 minute 10 seconds while the mandatory time is 52 seconds. One can take two or three seconds more or less while singing the national anthem but Amitabh crossed the mandated time limit.”
The complaint also said that Bachchan used the word “Sindhu” in place of “Sindh” while singing the anthem.
Earlier immediately after the match, Ali faced a backlash when he fumbled singing the last line of the Pakistani national anthem which led him to apologize through social media for hurting Pakistani people’s sentiments, pleading mistake to technical glitches.
