Unknown men beat up watchman at Aafia Siddiqui’s house

KARACHI: Unknown gunmen showed up at Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s house late night and beat up the watchman. The men asked information about her children Maryam and Ahmed.

The men came last night and asked the watchman Amir, about Siddiqui’s children, which school they attended and when they came back. After this they tied up the watchman and gave him chloroform which made him unconscious.

When the housemates woke up next morning they found the watchman tied and beaten up. They registered an FIR.

The government had place a police mobile outside Siddiqui’s house in Gulshan-e-Iqbal after she was allegedly kidnapped along with her three children on her way to her house from the airport in 2003. However, gradually the number of policemen decreased, and now one policeman guards the house on alternate days.

Two of her children were recovered while one is still missing.

The US authorities however claim that Siddiqui was arrested from Afghanistan. She was convicted in 2010 for 86 years in a US court for the murder of a US army captain.
