PESHAWAR: Acting Governor Khyber Pakthunkhwa, Asad Qaiser said Tuesday that repatriation and resettlement of the temporarily displaced people (TDPs) of tribal area was the top priority of the government.
He directed the FATA Development Authority (FDA) and other departments to remove hurdles in way of return process of the dislocated people of North Wazirsitan Agency by ensuring their fast repatriation to their native villages and towns.
Talking to a representative delegation of tribal elders of North Waziristan Agency comprising Malik Jalil, Malik Niaz, Malik Ikram Khan and Haji Masahir Khan here at Governor House, Asad Qaiser said the entire nation held the sacrifices of tribal people in high esteem.
He paid tribute to the people of FATA in general and North Waziristan in particular for their sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
Asad Qaiser said the political administration, security forces and other departments were taking solid measures for the dignified repatriation and he assured the delegation that under Aakwat (brotherhood) scheme, interest free loans amount would be increased so that TDPs could create dignified jobs opportunities for themselves.
