Scared Andre Russell wants to travel Pakistan

WEB DESK: West Indian all-rounder Andre Russell has expressed his willingness, with some reservations, to come to Pakistan next year if Pakistan Super League (PSL) took place there.

Talking to an international cricket website, Russell said, “I am only being defensive based on knowledge I had gathered about the security situation in Pakistan by reading and watching in the media.”

Andre Russell, who is playing for Islamabad United in PSL has made 77 runs in 6 matches and took 10 wickets till now. Tonight, they will face Peshawar Zalmi in the third play-off.

“Based on what I have heard, I am going to be scared obviously. But for some reason, I would go to Pakistan,” said Russell.

Russell gave the example of walking through the streets of Jamaica, “A lot of crime going on in Jamaica, I am from Jamaica, I am going to tell, Jamaica is the most beautiful place. But you are going to say, No, they are shooting people. I will say no, do not worry. So it is going to be the similar case about travelling to Pakistan.”
