Quetta set 175 target for Islamabad


WEB DESK: Quetta Gladiators completed their innings on 174 for seven against Islamabad United in the final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Dubai Cricket Stadium.

Ahmed Shahzad made 64 runs in 39 balls with the help of nine fours and a six. Kumar Sangakara made 55 runs in 32 balls. He hit seven fours and a couple of sixes.

Andre Russell becomes the highest wicket-taker of PSL by taking 16 wickets in innings. He took 3 for 36.

Quetta Gladiators score was 36 for 2 after the powerplay and 68 for 2 after 10 overs. In the next five overs their score was 129 for 3. But they scored 45 runs in the last five overs.

Now, Islamabad need 175 runs to win the PSL final in 20 overs and Quetta need to take 10 wickets to restrict them before 174 runs.
