ISLAMABAD: Forceful anti-India protests broke out in several areas of Pampore in Pulwama district, Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) on Sunday.
Many people were also injured during clashes with Indian armed forces in Frestbal, Drangbal, Samboora and other adjoining areas of Pampore, KMS reported.
Police and paramilitary personnel deployed in the region fired tear gas shells on protesters who responded with stones.
Witnesses said that youth defying restrictions imposed by police came out to the streets and staged massive protests in Pampore and adjoining areas of the Pulwama district.
Authorities had issued an advisory last week asking people residing in a two-kilometer radius from the encounter sites to stay indoors.
