A 30-member Pakistan Kabaddi contingent left for India on Monday to participate in the Games. Talking to APP, PKF, Secretary Muhammad Sarwar said in the previous South Asian Games Pakistan was defeated by India in the final but this time Pakistan will return home with a gold medal.
“As many as 12 men, 12 women and 6 officials will represent Pakistan in the mega event.”
He said the national women Kabaddi team will participate in the South Asian Games for the first time and we have high hopes from them.
“The national women players along with Iranian women underwent training in Iran while the Iranian men went through a tough training camp here with our national team players.”
He said Pakistan has benefitted a lot by this joint training camp with Iran. “Our players have gained a lot from this camp and hopefully both men and women players will do well in the event,” he said.
