KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights are operating as per schedule from all airports of the country, said Joint Director of Civil Aviation Authority. All the flights departed for their destinations on time.
PIA spokesman Danyal Gilani said flights PK-4232 from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi, PK-584 from Islamabad to Dera Ghazi Khan and PK-300 from Karachi to Islamabad and PK-755 from Islamabad to Riyadh have left for their destinations. Similarly, all flights from Peshawar have gone their destinations in Middle East.
The spokesman said fifty-three domestic and sixty-six international flights are scheduled on Tuesday. So far flight operation is normal at all airports. He said no flight has been cancelled. He expressed the hope that remaining scheduled flights will depart on time.
The spokesman said the government was handling the issues of PIA in good way.
He said those who are taking law into their hands will be dealt with sternly.
Meanwhile, employees under the banner of Joint Action Committee staged protest in front of Jinnah Terminal in Karachi.
They were dispersed by authorities. However, one person was reportedly killed and four injured.
