Pakistan hands over relief items to Tajikistan

ISLAMABAD: The first consignment of relief items containing winterized tents, blankets and wheat has been handed over to Tajikistan for its quake-affected people.

Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Major General Asghar Nawaz handed over 2,100 Tents, 12,500 Blankets, 1,280 Tons of wheat to ambassador of Tajikistan Jononov Sherali here on Tuesday, said a press release.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had announced $1 million for the quake affected people of Tajikistan.
