Pakistan expresses disappointment at India’s reaction to F-16s sale

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has expressed disappointment at the Indian government’s reaction regarding purchase of F-16s from the United States.

Foreign Office spokesperson said on Sunday that Indian government’s reaction surprised and disappointed Pakistan.

She said India was the largest importer of defence equipment and its arms and arsenal stock was much larger than Pakistan.

As regards F-16s sale, the spokesperson said Pakistan and the United States closely cooperated in countering terrorism.

She said the US spokesperson clearly announced that the sale was to enhance Pakistan’s precision strike capability.
