DHAKA: Pakistan has on Wednesday beat Sri Lanka by 23 runs in the ICC Under-19 cricket world cup in Dhaka to reach quarter-finals.
Batting first, Pakistan set the victory target of 213 runs. Sri Lanka made 189 runs in 46.4 overs all out.
Pakistan Shadab Khan got three wickets while Ahmed Shafique, Hassan Mohsin and Sameen Gul got two wickets apiece respectively.
Hassan Mohsin was declared Man of the Match for his superb match-winning performance for Pakistan.
Pakistan finished on top in group B and would play against West Indies in quarter-finals. The first quarter-final, will be played between Bangladesh and Nepal tomorrow.
