Pak-US community urged to promote positive image of Pakistan


NEW YORK: Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has urged the Pakistani-American community to play a proactive role in promoting positive image of Pakistan as the country is coming out of the shadows of past economic and security challenges.

Addressing a gathering of Pakistani-American community in New York, he also urged them to take active part in local community welfare programmes and take part in the US democratic system to promote understanding between United States and Pakistan.

The minister also apprised them about the government’s efforts to develop modern infrastructure in the country for greater regional integration. He described China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would bring prosperity and progress to the people.
