No pressure on any player for retirement: Shahryar

WEB DESK: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan has reacted to the recent statement of Shahid Afridi about his retirement decision and said that PCB can not pressurize any player for retirement.

“If Shahid Khan Afridi wanted to continue his career after T20 World Cup in India it is upto him but it will be decided by PCB whether he can play as a captain or as a player,” said Shahryar Khan.

Shahryar said Afridi should tell him what he planned, later PCB would announce about his captaincy.

Speaking to media after returning from Dhaka, he said politics should be kept separate from sports while it should be a prime duty of Indian government to provide fool-proof security to Pakistani team in the World Cup.

He said Virat Kohli had opened his eyes. “He knows how to bat and he is a superb and out-class batsmen. He accepted that in the ceremony he forgot to gave Man of the match award to Virat Kohli.

He also congratulated Sharmeen Obaid Chinnoy for winning Oscar award.
