Neerja’s last flight announcement will leave you in grief

WEB DESK: Bollywood starlet Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Neerja’, which is based on the life of Indian flight attendant a Neerja Bhanot, is all set to release on Friday (February 19).

Fox Star Hindi, production house of upcoming biopic Neerja, recently released the clip of her last flight announcement as a part of the films’ promotion.

The clip brings the last flight announcement that was made by Neerja Bhanot on the day, before Pan Am Flight 73 got hijacked.

The tragic tale of Neerja is known across the border, she was the senior flight attendant on the Pan Am Flight 73 flying from Mumbai to USA, which was hijacked by four armed men on September 5, 1986 when it was stopped at Karachi airport in Pakistan.

Neerja displayed true courage and bravery in the face of crisis and lost her life to save the lives of 359 passengers on board including children.She won the Ashok Chakra, making her the youngest recipient of India’s highest peacetime military award for bravery.

She was also awarded the Tamgha-e-Insaaniyat by the Pakistani government.

Her biopic that stars Sonam Kapoor and Shabana Azmi is directed by Ram Madhvani.
