KARACHI: The MQM leadership has launched a four day token hunger strike from today, Aaj News reported.
MQM Leader Farooq Sattar said that the party has been deprived of its constitutional right for the last six month. “If we stage a protest rally, the Prime Minister will not be able to leave the country,” he said.
Speaking at nine zero, the MQM headquarters, on Thursday, Sattar said that the party chief’s speeches had been banned for the last six months. For this unjust ban, the party leadership will stage a token hunger strike outside the Karachi Press Club till February 22.
Sattar said the government was violating article 19 of the constitution which allows freedom of speech to citizens.
