Management reshuffled: Viv Richards to mentor Pakistan till WT20

WEB DESK: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reshuffled team management for Asia Cup Twenty20 and World Twenty20 Championship.

Former Caribbean player and legend Vivan Richards will mentor Pakistan during both the tournaments. Azhar Mahmood has replaced Mushtaq Ahmed as a bowling coach and Grant Flower will remain as batting consultant, while Waqar Younus will serve as a head coach.

Richards has been mentoring Quetta Gladiators, who were earlier being considered to be underdogs but under his supervision they have turned out to be the first team to qualify for Pakistan Super League (PSL) play-offs and a couple of days back he has also said, “I am ready to serve Pakistan cricket, if I get an offer.”

Azhar Mahmood has replaced Shane Watson as overseas player for Islamabad United in PSL. Islamabad United have also qualified for the play-offs.
