Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bowl first against Pakistan.
India restricted Pakistan team on 83 runs. Only two Pakistani players could score in double figures, Sarfaraz Ahmed 25 and Khurram Manzoor 10. While on the other hand Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets for just 8 runs.
In the reply, India failed to have a good start and scored only 21 runs for 3 wickets. Mohammad Amir’s thrilling bowling disturbed initial Indian batting lineup.
Remember 21 runs scored by India in the powerplays was the worst powerplays scored for them in T20 international. Their previous lowest was 24 for 4 against Australia in World T20 2010.
While Yuvraj and Kohli played very intelligently and scored 68 runs both together. Kohli one run short from his half century and scored 49 runs in 71 balls. Mohammad Amir took 3 wickets for just 18 runs.
