Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque leads Friday prayers

LAHORE: Grand Mufti of Palestine, Masjid-e-Aqsa, Muhammad Husein, led the Friday prayer at the Grand Jamia Masjid, Bahria Town, Lahore, on Friday.

A large number of people offered their Friday prayers at the mosque.

The Firday sermon in Arabic was later translated by Hafiz Saeed, chief Jamat-ud-Dawa.

It is the second visit of any Palestinian mufti to the city in the last 76 years; the first visit was paid by the first Palestinian Grand Mufti al Husseini to Lahore in 1938 where he had met Quad-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other Pakistan Movement leaders.

Last Year Imam-e-Kabba, Masjid al Haram Sheikh Khalid Al Ghamdi, who also led the Friday prayer, which was attended by a sizeable number of people.
