Govt to get new airplanes on lease: Shaikh Aftab

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Shaikh Aftab on Friday told the National Assembly that the government had decided to get new airplanes on lease for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

Replying to a query, he said that the fitness of all aeroplanes was checked before flying to avoid any untoward incident.

He said that PIA had recruited extra servants adding that after buying new planes the number of these servants will be balanced.

Aftab said, “We have a number of capable engineers for overhauling the planes and we have to purchase some spare parts of these planes from abroad.”
