Govt allows cricket team to play World T20 in India

ISLAMABAD: The government on Thursday gave approval to the national cricket team to play the ICC World T20 cricket tournament starting March 8.

“The government has authorized the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) to send the team to ICC World T20,” a statement by the PM’s Office said.

The Foreign Office on Thursday said Pakistan believed in maintaining people-to-people contacts with India and it was one of the elements discussed during the bilateral talks, whenever held.
