KARACHI: Alamgir Khan, whose claim-to-fame is the Fix-it campaign in the city has been released on bail on Friday, a day after he was arrested while trying to stage a unique protest outside the Sindh Chief Minister’s House, Aaj News reported.
He had reached the CM House with a garbage collecting truck and taken into custody by the policemen standing guard outside the fortified residence of Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah.
Khan, who is also a Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf member has been leading an aggressive campaign against the civic agencies of the city for the last few weeks.
During the campaign Khan fixed open manholes, cleaned walls and repaired roads along with a few volunteers.
An FIR was registered against them at the Civil Lines police station on the government’s complaint.
