Cooper reported for suspected illegal bowling action in PSL

KARACHI: Lahore Qalanders’ medium pacer Kevin Cooper has been reported for a suspected illegal bowling action during last night’s HBL Pakistan Super League Twenty20 game against the Quetta Gladiators at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday.

Cooper was reported by match officials at the conclusion of the match. He has now been placed on the warning list and may continue to be selected to play and bowl for his team in a PSL match.

Under the PSL Suspected Illegal Bowling Action policy, if a player is reported while on the warning list, the player shall be suspended from bowling for the remainder of the PSL tournament and from bowling in any matches organized by the PCB until such date as he is cleared or upon conclusion of any ineligibility period.

A player suspended from bowling may continue to be selected to play in matches, however, he will not be entitled to bowl.

If suspended under the PSL Suspected Illegal Bowling Action policy, Cooper will have to go through the rehab process made applicable by the West Indies Cricket Board.
