Accepting extra charges from visa applicants is condemnable: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has expressed serious reservations on the alleged irregularities in the agreement between Gerry’s and Pakistan High Commission London in getting Pakistani visa.

In a statement, he directed Federal Investigation Agency to submit a detailed report about alleged irregularities in award of the agreement by the previous government.

The minister also asked the ministries of interior and foreign affairs to ensure that now no Pakistani High Commissioner or Ambassador can sign such kind of anti-people agreement to protect monetary interests of someone else.

He said accepting extra charges from the applicants for Pakistani visas is condemnable and undesirable. Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also said it should be reviewed that whether Pakistan can annul this agreement.
