Zardari says only masses have right over sovereignty

DUBAI: Co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party Asif Ali Zardari on Monday said self-desirous accountability, double standard, ideology of holy cow and use of corruption’s term for political reconciliation was the worst corruption.

“People who are putting national security at state should also be held accountable,” he said in a statement on the occasion of 88th birthday of founder of PPP Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

He said only public had right on sovereignty and nobody should be allowed to forcefully seize sovereignty.

Zardari said extremists should not be allowed to seize sovereignty in the name of religion. Court could not legislate neither it had right to do so.
