Weapon supplier for Safoora Bus Attack still at large

KARACHI: Investigation for the Safoora Bus Attack is facing political pressure, as police was unable to arrest the prime suspect who supplied to the four accused terrorists.

During investigation one of the main accused, Saad Aziz, said that he had obtained weapons from a dealer in DHA, named Zubair Motiwala. All of the weapons had been illegally smuggled into Pakistan, and their fake licenses were also made by Motiwala.

However, six months after a customs court ordered his arrest, Motiwala is still at large. A Counter-Terrorism Department team also went to Islamabad to discuss his arrest, but returned after facing immense political pressure.

Motiwala has connections in the Sindh bureaucracy.
