WEB DESK: National team head coach Waqar Younis rejected all the rumors of resignation which were circulating past few days, Aaj News reported.
“I neither proposed nor thought of giving resignation,” Waqar Younis said, “Pakistan cricket team is at crucial moment with world Twenty20 just around the corner.”
He added that he cannot think about leaving the team at this stage.
Pakistan lost the first ODI of the three-match series with New Zealand. The second ODI washed out due to rainfall leaving the third ODI to pick the winning team.
“With Pakistan Super League (PSL), Asia Cup and world T20 which will be hosted in India, Head coach cannot leave Pakistan’s side. Pakistan lost to New Zealand in T20 series with 2-1 score followed by losing first match of the three-match ODI series led to rumors of Younis’s resignation in the media.”
