ISLAMABAD: The premier fast bowler of the New Zealand Cricket Team Tim Southee will miss another series due to the foot injury he suffered in the One-Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka as he will miss the T20 series against Pakistan as well.
New Zealand are worried about the fitness of their important pacer as the World T20 Championship is around the corner and he has all the experience that the Kiwis will require in the mega event, Sport24 reported on Monday.
Southee had missed the 2 match T20 series against Sri Lanka but other bowlers did the job well. Before that New Zealand will play 3 ODI matches and then Test and ODI series with Australian team, which will be farewell series for their captain Brendon McCullum.
The batting coach of the New Zealand team, Craig McMillan said that they will be hoping that Southee gets fit before Australia series but they have got many other fast bowlers Matt Henry, Trent Boult, Doug Bracewell and Adam Milne who are bowling well.
