Terrorist attempts declined due to intelligence successes: Rashid

LAHORE: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said terrorist attempts had declined substantially because of intelligence successes against terrorists.

“Terrorist are attacking soft targets,” he said while talking to newsmen in Lahore.

He said Pakistan would cooperate with other countries to control terror-related incidents and was ready to share our experience with them for the benefit of the region.

The minister said Pakistan wanted to carry forward dialogue with India but terrorist attempt derailed the process.

He said terrorists were not only enemy of Pakistan but also humanity.

Replying to a question, the minister said protection of citizens was responsibility of the state and security of educational institutions would be ensured.

He further stated that arrest of Uzair Baloch was the reflection of commitment made by prime minister to nab every criminal.
