KARACHI: Sindh Assembly here on Monday unanimously passed the Sindh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Bill 2015.
As per the bill Benazirabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education will soon be established.
Leader of the Opposition, Khawaja Izhar ul Hasan on the occasion drew attention of the authorities that posts of Controllers of Examination are lying vacant since long in Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education respectively.
This, he said was despite the fact that examinations held under these three boards are drawing close.
“I have also written a letter to the Sindh Chief Minister to fill these vacant posts on merit,” said Khawaja Izhar ul Hasan.
On Monday, Karachi Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship Bill 2015 and Sindh Shops and Commercial Establishment Bill 2015 were also introduced while deliberation on two other bills were deferred till Friday.
The deferred bills included Sindh Allied Health Professional Council Bill 2014 and Elimination of Forced Labor in Sindh Bill 2015.
